Tech-geeks chase for many global technical events and fests to get acquainted with all the trending technologies. Some technical events like Hackathons are proving grounds for new ideas and aim at marking the talent of Devs around the orb to find efficient clues over varied areas and get some cool startups. As a global tech community, we’ve been doing Meetups and Conferences on unique stacks and are ever open to opinions from the learners.
This aspect inspired 20+ local communities around Nagpur to launch Central India’s largest Community-driven Hackathon: hacknagpur. The very first initiative by the community members of GDG Nagpur. It’s a platform to unleash innovative developers worldwide and come together virtually to encourage one another and the community.
This event is being hosted for creative people like designers, data experts, and developers. We have different tracks like future mobility, ML, Blockchain, and many more. A special track called “open innovation†has also been included. An open innovation challenge is an initiative promoted to develop a new product or out of the box idea. In case of any problems or queries, special sessions of speakers on different tracks have been organized. We also have amazing judges and cool mentors with us to select and guide the participants.
Sponsors for this event are from renowned companies like Google Developers, Devfolio, Coding Blocks, Github, Airmeet, elastic, and many more. Apart from this, we have “The live Nagpur†as our only Media partner. The open innovation challenge of 5 days is going to be played from 26th December, Saturday at 11:00 am IST to 30th December, Wednesday, 11:00 pm IST. Enthusiasts can team up with a minimum of 3-4 members and they will compete for cool prizes like Google home mini, T-shirts, mug+notebook, certificates, and internship opportunities.
Apart from this, we have a special category for women participants. To drop the gender gap we have a special reward for them where the winning women’s team would be getting a Github bag, T-shirts, mug, pen & diary, certificate, and internships opportunity.
Registrations for the event have started on the 15th of  November and will be ending on the 20th of December.
