The armed robbery that took place at Muthoot Fincorp Finance’s office at Wardha on Thursday morning has been solved by police. The thieves were nabbed by the local crime branch police in just 24 hours. Shocking information has come to light that the branch manager of the bank is himself involved in the crime. Four accused have been arrested and 9 kg 700 grams of gold has been seized from them.
The robbery at Muthoot Finance branch in Wardha that took place in broad daylight had created a stir in the area. According to the information the thieves had stolen a total of Rs 66 lakh, including three and a half kilos of gold and Rs 3 lakh in cash, from a female employee with a pistol on her head and a knife. However, the police have seized 9 kg 700 gm gold from the accused.
Local Crime Branch Police Inspector Nilesh Brahmane, Thanedar Satyaveer Bandiwar and Thanedar Dhanaji Jalak investigated the incident. Police have arrested four accused from Yavatmal, including the branch manager. As per police a pistol, two four-wheelers and gold were seized from them. Further investigation is on for the case.
