The second capital of the state on December 18 witnessed a rise in daily cases. The city reported 444 fresh COVID-19 cases with 7 people succumbing to the infection in the day. After today’s count, the cumulative number of positive cases reached to 119221.
From the total 3832 deaths, 2605 deaths were registered from the city, 665 from rural and rest 562 from out of Nagpur, an official release said.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stand at 5983 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
Also, 358 persons became free of the infection in the day taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 109406 (including 59455 home isolation recoveries). After today’s update the recovery rate stands at 91.77%.
Today’s 444 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
