Physically Challenged Cricket Association Nagpur (PCCAN) recently organised a friendly cricket match on the occasion of the 22nd death anniversary of Kusumatai Sahare here at the NMC Wathoda Cricket Ground, near Bhatia Bakery.
In the ten-over cricket exhibition encounter, PCCAN defeated MSCAD by six wickets. Opting to bat, MSCAD were restricted to 76 for 6 in their stipulated 10 overs.
Chasing a modest target, PCCAN romped home in 8.3 overs, losing only four wickets. Matin Baig excelled with the bat by striking 22 runs.
The contest was inaugurated by Manisha Kothe, deputy mayor of Nagpur. Nagesh Sahare, former NMC sports committee chairman, Uttam Mishra, president, MSCAD, Sanjay Bhoskar, secretary, MSCAD, Nutan Umredkar, treasurer, MSCAD, Gurudas Raut, captain of Indian divyang team, Anil Kotangale, Dhananjay Upasani and Rahul Lekurwade were present on the occasion.
The chief guest for the prize distribution function was Krishna Khopade, MLA, East Nagpur. Several disabled players were present on the occasion.
