Nearly 100 satellites designed and manufactured by students would be launched on February 7 on board a single rocket from Rameshwaram. The aim of the programme to be dedicated to the former president of India and missile man late Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam is to increase students’ participation in scientific programmes of India and also set the world record.
The programme has been organized jointly by Dr.APJ Kalam International Foundation and Space Zone India a part of its Reservevhc Payload Cube Challenge-2021 programme. Near about 100 students from all over India have been selected for this purpose. Three groups of students from Standard V to Standard VIII, from Standard IX to Standard XII, diploma, BSc and Engineering have been prepared. As per information, a group of ten students would prepare a satellite each.
