The guardian minister has clarified that funds for the Gorewada Zoo will be made available in phased manner after Cabinet’s nod. He ordered to prepare combined proposal in this regard. He was speaking during a review meeting held at Gorewada.Minister Nitin Raut asked concerned officials to make presentation of Gorewada International Zoo Project before Chief Minister and environment minister. He stated that proposal of fund for project will be tabled by tourism minister during Cabinet meeting. The funds will be allotted after approval.
The guardian minister asked to reserve land for birds and send proposal for Bird Park. He also said that combined proposal for African Safari, water treatment plant and other development works and sent to tourism minister Aditya Thackeray. The work of tourism facilities in first phase of Gorewada Project has been completed.Tiger, leopard, sloth bear and deer safari has started. The work on African Safari will begin in next phase. Minister also ordered to send proposal for required funds in this regard.
