Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass and Sports for All (SFA Play) had collaborated to conduct the school’s annual inter-school sports meet Censports. The virtual sporting bonanza spread the infectious joy of sporting across countries like the USA, UAE, Oman, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Bahrain to become a virtual global sports meet.
With the participation of 1830 children in the age groups of 7 to 17 years, from 433 schools around the world, the 10-day long inter-school sports meet became one of its kind grand online sporting event. Censports entered into its grand finale on 19th December 2020. Chess, Fitness Challenge, Karate (Kata), and Speedcubing were the 4 sports which were being conducted online as part of the Censports. Finalists from the four sports competed for the top honours.
The finals for Fitness Challenge were telecast live on YouTube on 18/12/2020. The results are as below-

Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass gained special recognition under the ‘She is Gold’ for having the highest number of female participants from the school.
Censports received an overwhelming response not only from the participants but also their parents. They appreciated the effort taken to put up the sporting event on a virtual platform. The ‘joy quotient’ was also at a high despite the adoption of the virtual platform. On the whole, the novel experience brought in more exposure and a host of opportunities for the participants to explore.
