Webint on “Exploring ways and means for Strategic Agri Revenue and Cost Management“

On the eve of National Farmers’ Day Nagpur Chapter of Cost Accountants, in association with the Agriculture Task Force of the Institute, is holding a Webint on – “Exploring ways and means for Strategic Agri Revenue and Cost Management” on December 22 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India has constituted a National Agri Task Force, to evolve ways and means of ‘Strategic Agri Cost Management’ with a view to support the Government’s initiative of ‘Doubling the Farmers’ Income’. The Institute is endeavouring to support the various efforts of the Government by conducting awareness programmes and arranging discussion sessions on PAN India basis to analyse the current situation and advising on the steps to be taken for the welfare of the farmers.

The yeoman professional contribution of the Cost accountants for the prosperity of the manufacturing sector as well as the service sector is well established. Now they are jumping into the agriculture sector and they can contribute their might for the effective management & efficiency of FPOs, Contract farming, yield management for the specified crops, etc. In this direction, the Chapters of the Institute across the country are observing “National Farmer’s Day”.

Nagpur event will be inaugurated by CMA Biswarup Basu, President of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and the concept will be introduced by CMA P. Raju Iyer Vice President. Mr. L. L. Raval – CGM, NABARD and SamayBansod, Director, Manas Agro Industries Limited will be the keynote speakers. Other eminent speakers include CMA P. V. Bhattad, Past President, ICAI; CMA Chittranjan Chattopadhyay, Cental Council Member, ICAI and  CMA Dr SreehariChava, Member Agri Task Force.

The program will be followed by an interactive session with a few farmers and a CEO of Farmer Producer Organization. The event is expected to be attended by Cost Accountants from across India and farmers from across Vidarbha.
