India has extended its temporary ban of international flights to and from UK till January 31.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) DGCA modifies order to suspend international flights till Jan 31, cargo operations exempted.
Earlier today Civil Aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri informed that “Decision has been taken to extend the temporary suspension of flights to & from the UK till 7 January 2021. Thereafter strictly regulated resumption will take place for which details will be announced shortlyâ€.
The decision was made after at least 20 people who returned to India from the UK to India tested positive for the mutated coronavirus strain.
Earlier today the Health Ministry recommended to the Ministry of Civil Aviation the extension of the temporary suspension of flights originating from UK into India to be further extended till 7th January (Thursday), 2021.
