The government has decided to transfer the lumpsum amount payable to the members of EPFO resulting from increased 8.5 % rate of interest from Monday. As per information, EPFO in the official statement said that the Central government has started due procedure for the payment of 8.5 percent rate of interest from January 11.
The regional provident fund commissioner,Nagpur region Vikas Kumar also confirmed that the procedure for transfer of 8.5 rate of interest would start from January 11.He further said that however, those members would benefit on priority whose entire amount has been deposited with EPFO office. During lockdown, there were many members whose PF dues were not deposited with EPFO. Such members would not get benefit of increased rate of interest.
