Recently 250 chickens found dead in the poultry farm located in Tehsil’s Ubgi area and the death of the chickens was feared to be due to bird flu. As per information, a report of the Pune lab indicates that the death of the chickens has not been caused by bird flu, but by the loud noise of DJ and panic which caused a stampede.
There are more than 12000 chickens in the said poultry farm. The DJ played at an event near the farm on January 10, Sunday. On Monday morning, 250 chickens were found dead. The officers of the Animal promotion department reached the poultry farm and collected samples of the dead chickens and sent them to Pune laboratory. According to experts, chicken is a susceptible bird and frightened by any kind of loud voice. According to the poultry farm operator, the chickens do not sleep overnight because of the loud noise. Lack of sleep worsens the digestive system. This is also a reason for the death of the chickens.
