The rise and drop in daily COVID-19 cases continues as the second capital of the state reported 278 fresh cases on January 18. In the day, 9 people succumbed to the infection. After todays count, the cumulative number of positive cases reached to 130897.
From the total 4090 deaths so far, 2703 deaths are from the city, 727 from rural and rest 660 from out of Nagpur, an official release said.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 3807 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
Also, 422 persons became free of the infection in the day taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 123000 (including 65653 home isolation recoveries). After today’s update the recovery rate stands at 93.97%.
Today’s 278 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
