Nagpur Obstetrics and Gynecological Society (NOGS) now come up with a unique initiative. As per the information, the organisation will be helping youngsters, adolescents to resolve their issues mainly arise through tele consultation. Dr Vaidehi Marathe stated that while dealing with their patients they come to know the problems being faced by young girls. So they have decided that something should be done for them, and chalked out a plan and now will be launching helpline ‘YUVA’ on Republic Day this year .
Dr Rajasi Sengupta commented that this helpline will serve to help teenagers and youth get tele-consultation for a variety of issues ranging from medical help for gynaecological issues, psychological counselling, abuse, contraception, vaccination and such other. Young girls who approach us face gynaecological problems mainly because of lack of proper guidance. In our homes there is a communication gap so when a girl faces any problem which may be related to her womanhood she doesn’t find anybody where she can discuss it comfortably. NOGS hope to serve the pillars of the society, youth. Teens and youth suffer from multiple issues but are confused and unaware as to whom to contact for correct information and treatment. This unique helpline will be helpful to gain access to quality medical help and will help resolve several crucial entities like substance abuse, contraception and depression.
