The COVID-19 count is reducing daily in India bringing some relief to the government, frontline workers and medical teams. Orange city is also witnessing drop in daily cases and more recoveries. Now as the inoculation drive begins in the city and accross India, hope has risen of getting back to normal.
On January 21, Thursday, the second capital of the state reported 290 fresh Covid cases with 7 people succumbing to the disease in the day. After today addition of cases the tally of positive patients reached 131540.
The total death toll due to the deathly virus has touched to 4106. Out of the total deaths 729 cases were reported rural areas, 2710 cases from the city and 667 from out of the city.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 3729 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
Also, 330 persons became free of the infection in the day taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 123642 (including 66044 home isolation recoveries). After today’s update the recovery rate stands at 93.99%.
Today’s 290 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
