The Nagpur District Athletics Association (NDAA) will hold the Nagpur District Annual Cross Country Meet at the synthetic track of the Divisional Sports Complex, Mankapur here on January 27.
On the basis of performance in this meet, the district squad will be selected for the forthcoming state cross country meet.
Wednesday’s meet will be held in various categories between the age group of 6 years and 35 years and above.
According to a press note issued by the NDAA secretary Dr Sharad Suryawanshi, entry closes on January 25. Interested people have been asked to send their entries to entryndaanag@gmail.com.
Entry fees are Rs 200 per participant. For men and women above 35 years, entry fees is Rs 400. Those athletes who have not prepared an NDAA card so far will have to pay Rs 50 extra along with the entry fees, stated a press note.
For the smooth conduct of the meet, a committee under the chairmanship of Sanjay Choudhary has been formed. Ramchandra Wani, Archana Kottewar, Banty Prasad Yadav, Vivekanand Singh, Avinash Sahare, Anil Bhore and Icchha Sahare are the other members of the committee.
The selection committee consisted of Ravindra Tong, Harendra Thakre, Vidya Deoghare, Sachin Hulke, Shriram Agalawe, Kumud Charmode and Ramchandra Wani.

The last edition of the district cross country was held on December 3, 2019 in which Nav Maharashtra Krida Mandal athletes dominated the proceedings to emerge overall champions.
