Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL)and Orange Odyssey, are jointly conducting ‘Heritage Bicycle Trail of Civil Lines, Nagpur’ under India Cycles4Change Challenge,initiatives of the Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India.
Buveneswari S, CEO, NSSCDCL said that, the motto of the event is to promote and spread awareness for both, cycling and the heritage amongst the citizens, making them responsible stakeholders for sustainable maintenance of our collective urban heritage in the time of rapid urban development.
The event shall be conducted on Monday, 25th January 2021. It will start at 4:00 PM from the head Quarters of Nagpur Municipal Corporation at Civil Lines, Nagpur. During the event about fifteen structures of historical and heritage importance will be covered by the participants through out the trail. The bicycle trail will conclude at the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court, Nagpur.
The information about the heritage structures shall be presented by architects Amol Wanjari, Mandira Neware and others of Orange Odyssey Nagpur. This will be a free guided tour for which mandatory registrations need to be done on the web portal of Orange Odyssey athttps://www.orangeodyssey.
