Internet services have been suspended in some parts of Delhi-NCR after farmers rally turned violent in the region leading to death of one person.
As per th3 information, the services will remain affected at Singhu border, Ghazipur border, Tikri border, Mukarba Chowk and Nangloi till midnight.
The suspension of internet service came after a government order sent to telecom service providers directed the temporary suspension of internet services in areas of Singhu, Ghazipur, Tikri, Mukarba Chowk and Nangloi and their adjoining areas in the NCT of Delhi from 12.00 hours to 23.59 hours on the Republic Day.
“In the interest of maintaining public safety and averting public emergency, it is necessary and expedient to order, the temporary suspension of internet services in the areas of Singhu, Ghazipur, Tikri, Mukarba Chowk and Nangloi and their adjoining areas in the NCT of Delhi from 12:00 hrs to 23:59 hrs on January 26,” the Home Ministry order read.
