The Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s nuisance search squad on Wednesday took action against 162 irresponsible citizens who were without masks and recovered a fine of Rs 81,000 from them. Masks were also given to all these citizens. In the last few months, search teams have taken action against 29,345 citizens and so far Rs 1,30,31,500 has been recovered.
Although the number of corona patients has decreased, the risk of coronavirus infection has not been averted. Even now, in many places, safe distances are not observed. In urban areas, it is dangerous to see unmasked citizens walking around. Therefore, the nuisance detection team is taking strict action against the citizens who are endangering their own health, family’s health and the health of the society in such an irresponsible manner.
23 under Laxminagar zone, 22 under Dharampeth zone, 30 under Hanuman Nagar zone, 7 under Dhantoli zone, 18 under Nehrunagar zone, 10 under Gandhibagh zone, 4 under Sataranjipura zone, 15 under Lakdaganj zone, 19 under Ashinagar zone. The action was taken against 10 persons under the zone and 4 persons from the corporation headquarters on Tuesday under the guidance of search team Chief Virsen Tambe. So far Rs. 1,19,37,500 Â has been recovered from 23,875 irresponsible citizens.
In order to control the number of patients in Nagpur, the Municipal Corporation’s nuisance search team is taking action against irresponsible citizens in the zone every day who are without masks. To protect citizens from corona, people have been advised to wear masks, observe social distancing, wash hands, etc. All these steps is being repeatedly suggested by Nagpur Municipal Corporation. The corporation has also appealed to the intelligent and responsible citizens to protect themselves and their families by wearing masks.
