The Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s nuisance search squad on Friday took action against 155 irresponsible citizens for walking around without masks and recovered a fine of Rs 77,500 from them. Masks were also given to all these citizens. In the last few months, search teams have taken action against 29,660 citizens and so far and a fine of Rs 1,31,89,000 has been recovered.
Although the number of corona patients has decreased, the risk of corona virus infection has not been averted. Even now, safe distances are not observed in many places. In urban areas, it is dangerous to see unmasked citizens walking around. Therefore, the nuisance detection team is taking strict action against the citizens who are endangering their own health, family health and the health of the society in such an irresponsible manner and they are being given masks.
41 under Laxminagar zone, 18 under Dharampeth zone, 12 under Hanuman Nagar zone, 11 under Dhantoli zone, 15 under Nehrunagar zone, 9 under Gandhibagh zone, 4 under Sataranjipura zone, 11 under Lakdaganj zone, 18 under Ashinagar zone, 14 under Mangalwari zone, The action was taken against 2 persons from the corporation headquarters on Tuesday under the guidance of search team chief Virsen Tambe.
