After violating the tourism rules and blocking the way of the tiger, the divisional forest officer (wildlife) suspended the gypsies, their drivers and guides. As per information, the suspension order was issued on Saturday. The three separate Gypises had entered Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary in Yavatmal district on January 28.During this; they crossed the 50 m distance even though another Gypsy was in front of them and stopped their vehicle near to the tiger. This blocked the way of the tiger standing nearby.
Later driver of another Gypsy did not move their vehicle forward even after the tiger standing in front moved away. All these activities came to fore after a video went viral. And some wildlife lovers forwarded the video to the field director of Melghat Tiger Reserve and additional principal chief conservator of forest (wildlife) MS Reddy and divisional forest officer (wildlife) Subhash Puranik.On the basis of video, the DFO Puranik suspended drivers and guides on all three Gypsies.
