What we call a shocking and shameful incident, a puppy was burnt alive in Pratap Nagar on Thursday. After the incident, the animal lovers filed a complaint with Pratap Nagar Police station. As per information, founder of Save Speechless Organisation Smita Mire had taken his dog for a walk on Thursday morning. During this time she found that a 45 to 60 days old puppy was burnt alive.
The local people expressed ignorance about this matter. After that Mire reached Pratap Nagar police station and lodged a complaint. Police registered case against unknown person under different sections of IPC and other act. This is the sixth incident of killing dogs with cruelty in 15 days. Smita Mire said that she conducted the castration of more than 40 dogs of the locality despite being ignored by NMC. She also expressed her concern about the killing of dogs in inhuman manner.
