The rise and drop in daily COVID-19 cases continues as the second capital of the state reported 288 fresh cases on February 5. Today the city reported zero deaths for secon time. Meanwhile, 3 people succumbed to the infection in Nagpur district. After todays count, the cumulative number of positive cases reached to 135470.
From the total 4185 deaths so far, 747 deaths are from the city, 2730 from rural and rest 708 from out of Nagpur, an official release said.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 3213 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
Also, 204 persons became free of the infection in the day taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 128072 (including 69435 home isolation recoveries). After today’s update the recovery rate stands at 94.54%.
Today’s 204 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
