IAS Shri Manoj Suryawanshi was appointed the Commissioner of the Nagpur Improvement Trust on February 8, 2021. Suryawanshi will also have additional responsibilities as the Chairman of NIT. He was welcomed at the hands of IAS Sheetal Teli-Ugale. Hemant Pawar (Additional Commissioner of NIT), Lina Upadhye (General Manager of NIT and Deputy Director of Town Planning in NIT), Lande (Superintendent Engineer), Sanjay Pohekar and other key officials were present.
Manoj Suryawanshi is a 2010 batch officer in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and has been transferred from the post of Upper Joint Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies. Manoj Suryawanshi has earlier served in Nagpur division as Deputy Commissioner of Revenue, Upper Commissioner as well as in Bhandara, Wardha district in various administrative posts.
