Jayant Jaiprakash Duble, national open water swimmer, has created a new record by becoming the first swimmer to swim the new route of Chapora Fort to Aguada Fort (24-km) in 4 hours and 50 minutes on February 4 and another route of 27-km between Zuari Bridge and Mandovi Bridge with the timing of 7 hours and 9 minutes three days later thereby covered a total distance of 51 kms in Arabian sea Goa in two expeditions.
On Sunday, he returned back to Nagpur from Goa with his father and coach Dr Jaiprakash Duble and his mother Archana Duble and was welcomed by members of JD Sports Youth Foundation, Dolphin Swimming Club, Maharaja Tower Society and many sports organisations and sports lovers.
South Nagpur MLA Mohan Mate, Deven Dasture, Sambhaji Bhonsale, Pravin Dhore, Anil Admane, Govind Rathod, Hambirrao Mohite, Madhukar Dole, Yogesh Tijare, Subhash Lande and Uttam Lohkare felicitated Jayant and gave him best wishes for his future expeditions.
