The Managing Committee of Jagdamba Temple at Koradi has decided to keep the temple shut during the week long lockdown period from March 15 to 21. After order issued by District Collector, Â the committee members said that the temple was closed down for devotees after paying obeisance and aarti to deity from night of March14 onwards. A stricter lockdown is envisioned during the week to break the transmission chain as second wave of COVID-19 has engulfed the city.
So from view of precaution of devotees and for others, the temple would remain closed. However during the week priest and bare minimum staff would carry out with regular aarti and cleanliness of temple complex. All the staff have been provided masks and sanitizers and told to take precautions. The committee has appealed citizens and devotees not to visit the temple and obey the instructions.
