In view of the increasing Covid-19 cases in city, the administration of the Dr.Ambedkar International Airport has decided to quarantine passengers coming from abroad. List of passengers coming from abroad is being maintained and sent to civic administration of the city. The point to be noted here is that the Director General of Civil Aviation(DGCA) has announced a list of states, people from where are supposed to get RTPCR test done before travelling to any other state. If any passenger from any such state mentioned in the list is found at the airport without RTPCR report, he/she would be tested at the airport itself.
Similarly, the officials of the Mihan India Limited (MIL) are making sure that people wear masks while they are at the airport. They also make people aware about maintaining social distancing to avoid contraction of the deadly virus. It is worth mentioning here is that despite the lockdown there was no significant difference in the movement of flights. The regular air travellers during lockdown have become accustomed to travel with the relevant rules during pandemic, experts opined.
