Nagpur’s Alfiya Akram Pathan has once again stamped her mark on the country’s junior boxing circuit as she is selected in the Indian national junior boxing team for the Youth world boxing championship. The championship will take place in Poland from April 10to April 24.
Alifya was selected in the country’s junior boxing team after she trashed Punjab’s mighty Komal Singh at the finals of the trails for the Indian national team. A total of four boxers were called under the 81+ weight category for trails in Rohtak’s National Boxing Academy.
Akram Khan Pathan is the daughter of sub-inspector Akram Pathan who is a police officer with the Maharashtra State Police Force.
