Students of Grade IV explored -What is climate and Why does it change? The teacher designed a plan with some essential trigger questions and activities that were conducted weekly. These activities covered all the subjects EVS, Math, Hindi and English. Some activities included making models of earth, sun and moon showing rotation and revolution, different zones of earth, calculation of hours in a day, a week, a month and a year, Hindi poem on season and a paragraph on favourite season. A schedule of 5 weeks was created. The Teacher monitored the progress weekly and assessed the outcome. After completion of all these activities students presented their answers to the BIG QUESTION through a culminating activity.
It provided an opportunity for students to engage deeply with the target content, bringing about a focus on long-term retention.
