Thursday morning was pleasant for Nagpurians as it was raining. The joy, however, was short lived when the rains continued till 9:30 in the morning. Those preparing for their respective offices had difficult time in searching for their raincoats and umbrellas.
As predicted by the Regional Meteorological Department, the rains started early in Thursday morning. The temperature which was rising for the last one week came down. It was a relief from the scorching heat of the city. But many could not enjoy going out due to restrictions imposed on moving out unnecessarily and also due to closure of restaurants and bars.
The MeT office has predicted similar weather condition for next three days. The schools and colleges and even private establishments are closed. But the pleasant weather couldn’t be enjoyed.
Most of them enjoyed homemade delicacies and remained confined to their homes. A brief interruption in power supply was also experienced in some parts of the city, though major damage has been reported due to thundershowers.
Although the sky was cloudy during the day, the rains did not interrupt the less traffic on the streets.
