As we know the city is undergoing through a serious situation due to the spurt in Covid-19.And some positive patients are seen roaming in the streets violating the mandatory quarantine.In view of this,the civic authority is putting stickers on the homes of the said patients.The NMC Commissioner also directed that if Covid patients are found to be violating the norms,they would be fined Rs.5000.
He has ordered strict implementation of this in all zones.The point to be noted here is that NMC has permitted asymptomatic patients to remain in home quarantine to save beds in hospitals for those with symptoms.However,the patients have to follow certain norms.In order to ensure that the home isolation norms are followed strictly in every zone,flying squads have been constituted on zone-level.Similarly,fine would be imposed and case registered against those leaving their homes without valid reason.
