After the unexpected rain and hailstorm on Friday night, crops in the region suffered heavy damage. The tehsils of Kamptee, Katol, Narkhed, Nagpur rural, Ramtek, Saoner and other received rains with storm.
Hailstorm in Katol Tehsil caused heavy damage to crops of wheat and chick pea. In Kondhali, areas of Masod, Kamthi, Pusagindi, Dhurkheda, Borgao, and other were severely hit by hailstorm. The areas experienced strong winds with rains and also faced hailstorm for around 15-20 minutes. Following this, the crops of wheat, chickpea and tomato were severely damaged. It is also damaged to orange farming gardens.
