The biggest news trending around the globe and costing millions of dollars an hour is the ship that got stuck in the Suez Canal. The massive container ship, Ever Given, stuck in the Suez Canal since Wednesday. According to several news reports, it is costing USD 440 million an hour as it blocks the canal that connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea.
The container ship is blocking the movement of more than 100 ships by getting stuck in one of the world’s busiest waterways. On Thursday, the Suez Canal Authority also announced that they are temporarily suspending navigation until the grounded container vessel MV Ever Given is refloated. According to a report by the Associated Press, images showed the ship’s bow was ‘touching the eastern wall, and stern looked lodged against the western wall – an extraordinary event that experts said they had never heard of happening before in the canal’s 150-year history’.

Things got interesting when the authorities brought a tiny bulldozer and a excavator to free the ship and clear sand around the massive ship. This whole messy situation obviously provided the internet with fodder for some hilarious memes. People got creative with their ideas to free Ever Given, some compared the tiny excavator with their life, and someone even created an entire Twitter page named – Guy With The Digger At Suez Canal.
