Ifrah Khan, JEE National third topper in girls, while speaking to The Live Nagpur said, “Start early preparation with dedication and determination, rest leave on almighty.†Ifrah is the student of class 12 from Indian Olympiad School, Bhelgaon, Kamptee Road has also cracked her Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) and was placed AIR 725, last year. She added, “While I was in class 6th I started preparation for the competitive exams also. I tried to go ahead of my syllabus and explored new topics.â€
She added that self study was the best way to prepare for any exam. Youngest in the family with elder brothers Uzai Khan, who is IITian from IIT Ropar and Umair Khan, IITian from IIT Roorke helped her in solving her doubts. Her father Sohail Khan, who is also Almuni of VNIT and Director of Indian Olympaid School and mother Nagma Khan, who has done B Sc, B Ed is also Director in the same school.
Ifran said, “Motivation and support from the family was always with me, and they helped me, whenever I raised my queries to them.†She also added that attending class regularly with full attention was enough to crack any exam. “Though joined ICAD and KDF for foundation courses in class 8th and 9th, But later did not felt the need for joining private coaching.â€
Though she was expecting good result of JEE, but ranking third among girls on all India level was a surprise to her. “I am confident of doing well in my board exam and JEE Mains too, as I have done a strong preparation,†said confident Ifrah. In her message to new aspirant she said, “Consistency in studies is must to crack any exam,†She said. Ifrah who is fond of watching movies and reading novels, want to do graduation in Computer Science.
