NMC Commissioner has appealed to the people to avoid visiting Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) offices except when it is inevitable. He has issued the appeal considering the increase in number of COVID-19 cases in the city. Daily, hundreds of people visit NMC headquarters in Civil Lines as well as NMC’s zone offices in various parts of the city for one or the other work. However, considering the increase in COVID-19 cases, the Municipal Commissioner has asked the officials concerned to admit people in respective offices only with prior permission.
The step has been taken to reduce crowding in NMC offices. Prior permission also should be granted only in case of absolutely necessary work that requires physical presence. “If people have any complaint relating to any essential work, they can register it on the mobile phone application ‘Nagpur Live City’. We, at NMC, will try to resolve the issues raised. People should avoid visiting NMC offices,†Commissioner said.
