After providing wrong test report to a patient, the Additional District Consumer Grievance Redressal Commission asked Dr.Kailash Agarwal of Nidan Pathology Laboratory located at Panchsheel Square to compensate the complainant woman with Rs.10000.The complainant named Charu Jain, a resident of Seoni underwent a test in diagnosis pathology on 29 August 2016 on advice of Dr Satish Jeswani.
After the report, Dr.Jeswani had told Jain that both her kidneys have failed. After this, Jain underwent a test from another pathology lab.In this, both the kidneys of Jain were found to be better.Hence, Jain had a discussion with Dr.Agrawal.But he did not accept the negligence. After this, she lodged a complaint with the customer commission. After listening to both the sides, the Commission gave the order.Dr.Agarwal has been granted a month’s time to follow this order. Failure to do so will also cost him an annual interest of 9 percent on Rs.10000.
