Amid escalated differences between the administration and the traders union, Police officers conducted a vehicle marched in Zone 2 Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 2, Vinita Sahu led the vehicle route march on Thursday. The route march was observed on the RBI-Sitabuldi route.
Rajkumar Tripathi, PRO Nagpur City Police in a conversation with the Live Nagpur said that “this route march was conducted as a generous appeal to the people to follow the norms of lockdown. It also was aimed to urge the traders union to observe patience and follow the guidelines issued by the administration.â€
“The police department is requesting people to follow the guidelines issued†he added. The route march had a participation of around 80 police officers from six police stations in the Zone 2 of the city. These officers carried out this route march under the guidance of DCP Vinita Sahu along with the representatives from all six police stations and two ACPs from the zone. The route march consisted of around 30-32 vehicles including two-wheelers, four-wheelers, Chetak, PCR Van, etc.
