Today traders all across the city at the call of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) stage ‘Thali Bajao Sarkar Jagao Andolan’. Various trade organizations including Sitabuldi Traders Association, Mobile Market Association, and many other organizations on Thursday stage ‘Thali Bajo Sarkar Jagao’ agitation.
Ashwin Mehadia, President of NVCC during his visit to the agitation carried by the Sarafa Association while talking to The Live Nagpur said, “Traders all across the city are on raod and demonstrating their anger against the Government decision of lockdown. I have visited Shahid Chowk, Ganja Kheth, Loha Oli, Teen nal Chowk, Sitabuldi and Laxmi Bhavan Chowk. The traders are expressing anger against the Government decision of lockdown. NVCC will be taking a strong decision by today evening, and any bold decision like handing over the keys of our shops to Commissioner will be taken. After a yearlong lockdown, when business was commencing and traders has filled their shops for the upcoming festive and marriage season, the decision of the Government is one sided and not acceptable to traders. We have to be with the traders and respect their sentiments,†Mehadia said.
Nagpur Sarafa Association also staged the agitation at Sarafa Bazar, Itwari. Rajesh Rokde, Secretary of the Nagpur Sarafa Association said, “We wish to awaken the sleeping Government, through our agitation. The Government has false assumption that traders are rich, but it does not realize that a traders to has liabilities, financial commitments and dependent staff and family to look after. “ Hussain Noorallah Ajani, Secretary Sitabuldi Merchants Association said that The Association has decided to start their shops with following the Covid guidelines. All over the city traders are expressing the same sentiments.
