In a high-level meeting with civic authorities to discuss the situation of COVID-19 in Nagpur Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has directed the District Collector to provide immediate medical care and install more beds within 24 hours at various COVID-19 hospitals.
As the cases are on rapid surge the demand of oxygen beds has also increased in the city taking cognizance to this Gadkari has taken the initiative to increase the number of oxygen tanks Nagpur and Bhandara districts, and has also talked to several private companies about the same to meet the needs and called for additional oxygen supply. Gadkari has assured that Nagpur will not be deprived of oxygen and every effort will be made for this. Gadkari has sent a letter to the Prime Minister seeking relaxation of Section 84 of the Patent Act to prevent shortage of injections and drugs and has instructed the District Collector to ensure proper distribution of injections and drugs.
