All tiger reserves and wildlife sanctuaries will remain closed for tourism upto May 15 as the State government has extended lockdown to prevent coronavirus infection.
As per previous order, all tiger reserves and wildlife sanctuaries were kept closed upto May 1. But the government has extended the duration of lockdown to break the chain of coronavirus as the infection is increasing.
As per new decision, the Pench Tiger Reserve, Bor Tiger Reserve and Umred Paoni Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary will remain closed upto May 15, informed field director of Pench Tiger Reserve and chief conservator of forest Dr Ravikiran Govekar.
Along with this, the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve and Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary will remain closed upto further order.
