Mayor Dayashannkar Tiwari while speaking at an inauguration event of a fifty bed Covid-19 care centre at Jainkalar Sabhagruha, Reshimbagh criticized the government’s irregular vaccine supply.
Tiwari expressed that though lot of emphasis is made on vaccination to break the chain of the Covid-19 pandemic with big proclamations for the uninterrupted supply of vaccine, it is very unfortunate that there are halts in the vaccination drive. The claims that no citizens will be denied from vaccination now seem a mirage.”
He said, “The State Government which is the nodal agency for distribution of vaccine to the state is not supplying vaccinations regularly. The heavy weight guardian ministers in the State Government is taking away the maximum quota, at the cost of other districts.†Tiwari added that in Mumbai people are forced for vaccination by organizing camps. In Nagpur the centers are running short of the required quota.
Deepak Choudhary, Chairman of Fire and Emergency Services Committee of NMC added that not only vaccination but also the total medical service system needs to be handled strictly. Are the doctors doing their duties diligently? Are the bills charged from the patients is not exorbitant? Are patients getting timely and proper treatment? He said, “The doctors must deal with the patients with human heart, and must not charge them exorbitantly.â€
