As we know that the whole nation is continuously battling against the Covid-19.Amid these trying times got a sigh of relief as the positivity rate has come down after two months. As per information, the positivity rate had reached 31 percent at the end of the April. However, from May 7 to May 12, the rate has come down to 12.02 percent. Significantly, and it is expected to decline further in the next few days.
The second Covid wave broke out at the end of February 2021.During this period; the numbers of tests were also increased. From February 26 to March 4, a total of 50,591 tests were conducted and 5872 tested positive. Besides, the positivity rate was 11.61 percent and it continued increasing. The positivity rate has been declining by 6percent every week for the past three weeks. During this time, the city administration has imposed strict restrictions. And the stringent measures really helped to control the infection. Similarly, now the restrictions have been extended till June 1 and expected to decrease the positivity rate.
