After the shortage of vaccine doses, the vaccination drive has suffered a lot and for the people in the age group of 18-44 years too has been postponed which has resulted in the slowdown in the pace of vaccination in Nagpur district. But the scenario is going to change from June. Some private hospitals have placed orders with vaccine companies for private vaccinations. In particular, it includes Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine, along with Covishield. There are about 207 vaccination centres in Nagpur city.
Meanwhile, the corporation has stopped vaccination in private hospitals and closed hundreds of centres. This has created a problem for those citizens who want to get vaccinated at private hospitals. As per information, some of the largest hospitals in city have contacted the Covid-19 vaccine manufacturing companies. But they have to wait until the government quota is complete.
