After the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, the civic administration is facing lot of financial problems. The civic authority is completely dependent on the grant given by the State government. Amid financial crisis, the standing committee Prakash Bhoyar will present proposed budget for the year 2021-22 on Friday, May 28.
As per information, it is believed that Bhoyar can present a budget of around Rs.2800 crore. In view of the Covid crisis and elections in the coming year, new taxes will not be imposed. The recovery of the old arrears will also be taken care of this time by the NMC administration. Due to this situation, the administration could not succeed in providing funds for development works in the division as well. So it is certain that the there will be a break for new project. And importance will be given to complete the old projects.
