After the first and second wave of Covid-19,it is said that there are possibilities of third wave. Amid this situation, the civic administration is taking all the preparations and precautions to face it. As per information, around 100 beds each are being made ready for children at three NMC hospitals. At the same time,150 to200 beds are being set up across other hospitals in city. NMC commissioner is supervising the activity. Apart from this, pediatricians are being appointed for children.
As per information, considering the third wave,100 beds are being arranged for children in Pachpaoli, KT Nagar and Indira Gandhi Hospitals. This will include oxygen, ICU bed. The second wave caused a shortage of oxygen.It was a humongous task to arrange oxygen to meet daily requirements of the district. Therefore,a separate plant has been set up at Pachpaoli.A oxygen bank is being created.A separate room is being set up for conveience of parents.In addition,Nagpur University,Reshimbagh and other places are being inspected for separate arrangement of 150 to 200 beds.
