The Kamptee Municipal Council was taking undue penalty from medical store owners of Kamptee for the last few days. In reaction to this, all the medical store owners of Kamptee closed their shop in the morning for two hours.
Sanjay Khobragade, President of Chemist and Druggist Association of Kamptee-Kanhan, while talking to The Live Nagpur informed that the Municipal Council Kamptee, was taking undue fines from medical stores. “Some of the stores were fined for a person in front of their shop standing without wearing a mask. When we are not entertaining any customers on our counter, without a mask. Who should be made responsible for customer standing on the road in front of the shop for not wearing a mask? Even some of the stores were fined for not maintaining social distancing, which was not viable.â€
Khobragade further informed that a delegation meet was held in the presence of Tehisldar Arvind Hinge, and Sandeep Borkar, Chief Executive Officer of Kamptee Municipal Council. On assurance from the local authorities, that such action will not be taken without proper evidence. The medical stores in the city were opened today.
Kuldeep Agrawal, added that all the medical stores are operating with proper coronavirus SOP. “We are more cautious while dealing with our customers. The local authorities must be careful and read the pandemic guidelines before penalizing store owner.â€
Subash Mangtani, Corporator and Manish Mehadia added that Pharmacists and their staff are working for the benefit of patients, putting their lives in danger. The local authorities must remember these.
