Nagpur Municipal Corporation has lashed at Radiance Hospital, Nagpur for not complying with the set COVID treatment rates. As per complaints received to NMC different rates were given by the hospital to different COVID patients for the same test.
Acting upon the received complaints it was found that the hospital management were providing different rates to various patients and was instructed to return the excess amount of Rs 10,32,243 collected from 92 patients. However the same was not done by the hospital management.
Thus NMC has ordered Radiance Hospital to return the amount of Rs. 10,32,243 to the concerned 92 patients and submit the compliance report in this office along with written evidence. If the hospital fails to comply with the order then penal action will be taken against them under the Infectious Diseases Act 1897 and Disaster Management Act 2005, Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance (Amendment) Act 2011, Bombay Nursing Home Registration Act 2006, Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and other ancillary proceedings. It should be noted that this will be done.
