The Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa has taken decision to postpone proposed elections of recognised lawyers’ bodies in Maharashtra and Goa up to coming august 31, due to the pandemic.
The council’s executive board recently met online in this regard. And during the meeting everyone opined that looking at the present covid-19 infection, various restrictions of the government, possible third wave of covid-19,protection of health of lawyers and others ,it would be dangerous to conduct elections. Finally, the decision to postpone elections up to August was taken.
