The two-day State-level on-line webinar will be organised on June 4 and 5, 2021 with an aim to empower the students to cope with the effects of COVID-19. The event is jointly organised by R.T.M Nagpur University, National Service Scheme Department and RS Mundle Dharampeth College of Arts and Commerce College, NSS Department. The theme of this webinar is ‘Building a Resilient community in the COVID-19 era: Role of Social responsibility and Leadership’. The webinar will be attended by NSS volunteers and programme officers from all the affiliated colleges of RTM Nagpur University. The webinar will be inaugurated by the President, Dharampeth Education Society, Adv Ulhas Aurangabadkar, while Dr Sanjay Dudhe, Pro-Vice Chancellor of RTM Nagpur University will be the chief guest.
Principal Dr Tanuja Nafde will preside over the event. The webinar will be held in three sessions and the first speaker will be Mahesh Pohnerkar, Chief Executive Officer of Viveka Group, Pune and hard core social worker. Dr Prashant Nikhade, President of Vidarbha Association of Otolaryngologistas will guide on mucor mycosis, while Dr Girish Charade, well-known paediatrician will guide on the changing nature of Covid virus. So far one thousand students have registered on-line for this webinar and the registration will continue till June 3.
However, Dr Sopandev Pise, Director, NSS, RTM Nagpur University and Dr Satish Chaple, NSS programme officer of RS Mundle, Dharampeth College of Arts and Commerce, have urged more and more students and NSS programme officials to participate in this webinar. Dr Manju Dubey, Dr Varsha Jape, Prof. Murlidhar Jambhulkar and other members of the organising committee are working hard for the success of the programme.
