Maharashtra Minister Vijay Wadettiwar’s announcement of lifting lockdown, made a mockery of the Maha Vikas Aghadi Government. Was it lack of coordination or Wadettiwar’s attempt to claim credit is debatable.
Within an hour of his announcement Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had to intervene to inform that the Government has not taken any such decision so far.
The lockdown will be lifted only after review of situation in every district. The detailed notification will be issued after the study of Corona positivity rate.
The issue also provided an opportunity for the Opposition to criticize the MVA Government in Maharashtra.
Maharashtra Government is positive about lifting lockdown, as discussed during a meeting held in Mumbai under Thackeray’s chairmanship. This was evident from Wadettiwar’s announcement.
People, however are confused over this lack of coordination between ministers in the MVA Government.
Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly Devendra Fadnavis has strongly criticized the Thackeray led Government.
