A Fake doctor who was posing as a resident doctor of medicine department in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) was nabbed by Casualty Medical Officer (CMO).
The fake doctor use to wear the apron of Siddarth Jain and stand at casualty department and use to approach poor and needy people assuring them to give better treatment, he used to extort Rs 25000 to Rs 10000 from the patients.
He used to extort money from patients by requesting the doctors of other departments to treat his patients claiming as the resident doctor of medicine department or orthopedic department. Believing this some patients used to give money to him after seeing in doctor’s attire.
According to the information the fake doctor use to accompany patients to the casualty ward and use to urge the resident doctor located there to pay more attention to the patients concerned. Soon after he used to flee from the spot later after which officials at GMCH administration started to get complaints.
Officials saw an unknown doctor in the disaster management department as he went to collect the sample of corona patient. Upon interrogation he continued to maintain that he is a doctor and got MBBS degree from AIIMS Delhi. GMCH has handed him to Ajni police.
